Teacher Identity Verification
How ShoilySchool verifies educator identities on the platform
At ShoilySchool, we are committed to building a safe, trusted, and secure online learning environment for students, parents, and educators.
To help maintain the integrity and safety of our platform, ShoilySchool may require educators to complete an identity verification process before teaching on the platform. This process helps confirm that educators are who they claim to be and supports a trusted educational community for everyone.
Why Identity Verification Matters
Identity verification helps us:
- Protect students and families
- Prevent identity fraud and fake accounts
- Build trust within the ShoilySchool community
- Maintain platform safety and educational integrity
- Ensure educators meet our community standards
How the Verification Process Works
When identity verification is required, educators will receive instructions through their ShoilySchool educator dashboard or email.
The verification process may include the following steps:
- Upload a government-issued ID document
- Upload the front and back of the document (if applicable)
- Take a live selfie or facial verification photo
- Submit the information securely for review
Once verification is completed successfully, educators can continue setting up and teaching classes on ShoilySchool.
Accepted Identification Documents
ShoilySchool may accept the following types of identification documents:
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- National ID Card
- Provincial or State ID Card
- Other government-issued photo identification
Accepted document types may vary depending on the educator’s country or region.
How Long Does Verification Take?
Most identity verification processes are completed within a few minutes. However, in some cases, manual review may take additional time.
Educators will be notified once their verification has been approved or if additional information is required.
Data Security & Privacy
ShoilySchool takes educator privacy and data security seriously.
Any identity verification information submitted:
- Is used only for identity verification and platform safety purposes
- Is handled through secure systems and encrypted transmission methods
- Is stored and processed according to applicable privacy and security standards
- Is not shared publicly with students or families
Difference Between Identity Verification and Background Checks
Identity verification confirms that the educator is the actual person associated with the account and submitted documents.
Background checks, where applicable, help determine whether an educator has records that could affect the safety and trust of the ShoilySchool community.
These are separate processes and may both be required depending on the educator’s location or course category.
Troubleshooting Verification Issues
If you experience issues during identity verification, please try the following:
Ensure Proper Lighting
Use a well-lit environment and avoid glare or shadows on your identification document.
Use a Clear Camera
Make sure your device camera is clean and focused so the document text and photo are visible.
Align Your ID Properly
Position the document fully within the camera frame without cutting off edges or corners.
Use a Supported Browser or Device
For best results, use updated versions of:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
Check Your Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is recommended during the verification process.
Disable VPNs if Necessary
Some verification systems may not function properly while connected to a VPN service.
Retry on Another Device
If problems continue, try completing verification from another smartphone, tablet, or computer.
