Apply to Teach

Fill out your application to teach with us! Educators must be at least 18 years old and reside full-time in Canada.

Step 1: Learn about ShoilySchool

Educators on ShoilySchool teach on their terms! Whether you want to teach full time – or just a few hours per week – you can earn income on ShoilySchool.

- Average Annual Earnings for Active Educators*: $10- 40k (Rough estimation, not accurate parameters)

All fields are required. While we ask about professional teaching experience, it’s not a requirement to teach on ShoilySchool. At this time, you must be based in the Canada to teach on ShoilySchool.

Step 3: Create Your Demo Course Presentation (PDF, file limit: 10MB)

Create a sample class with a clear description. Explain what you will teach and how your students will learn. This helps us understand your teaching style and structure.

Create Your Educator Profile Video (file limit: 1GB)
Showcase your expertise, educational background, and teaching style by creating a 60 - 120 second video which introduces yourself and the topics you plan to teach on ShoilySchool. This is your opportunity to shine and give families a glimpse of the engaging learning environment you’ll create.

Please note that your video will be publicly displayed on your profile, so make sure you are the only person featured:

We’ll also need to do your background check. Once it’s complete (usually a few days), you’ll be able to join our community of teachers. Read more about our background check process and policies here.

Submit your class listing for review

Once you’ve completed the steps above, you’re ready to submit your class listing for review! Our team will review your listing and provide feedback within a few days. Your listing will be published once it’s approved.

In general, we recommend setting a price point of $18-21 per learner, per hour in class. We also offer more detailed pricing guidelines on the Educator Library.
